"Child, we do not hate you for being born who you are. Each of us was born of wolf and man, and marked by the moon harlot with her silver when the change came on us. We cannot hate you because you were born of the blood that murdered our Father, for many among us were born of that blood as well.

"But you have heard our truth, and you reject it. You have felt the wrath of the spirits, and you do not abase yourselves before them. You wear the silver brands of the slave with honor, rather than purging them from you with flame.

"We do not hate the ignorant child. But you are grown, and you know, and you still do not kneel. And for that - you will burn."
—Hunter's Voice, Fire-Touched

This book includes:

• An intensive treatment of the society of the Pure, from their legends and history to modern-day practices of indoctrination and penance

• A full treatment of each of the three Pure Tribes: Fire-Touched, Ivory Claws and Predator Kings

• A plethora of Gift lists, rites, fetishes, totems and other tools to craft the perfect Pure werewolf or pack

• A sample setting where the Pure are in control, ready to be used as the basis for a chronicle or dropped into an existing game

Note: The Black & White print editions of this book are not full-bleed. Because of printing requirements there is a small white border around the edge of the pages.

Part barbaric prose, part realist material, the Pure is an impressive installment. It makes the Pure a separate and unique entity very well, although the issue of rape and the vulgar use of profanity to define the tribe in Chapter 1, may be very off-pu [...]

Good, solid book and the first roleplay book in a long time that I've been unable to put down. Brings the pure to life and gives a weath of information about what drives them. I ordered a printed copy of the book, and the quaity was excellent. I [...]

A very solid book giving a very complete and generally unbiased perspective on the signature 'villains' for Werewolf: The Forsaken. Happily, the book doesn't make any special effort to make the Pure more humane - they remain a fairly viscious bunch - [...]

Excellent sourcebook on the other more savage faction of werewolves which could be termed as the villains though not really totally bad, just bad for humanity that is. [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
