WHEN EVIL STIRS IN THE SOUTHLANDS, MIGHTY HEROES WILL ARISE!

— New Options for 5th Edition Heroes —

Demonic voices mutter and howl in the desert. Strange lights appear among the trees in the jungle’s depths; and packs of twisted creatures emerge at night to hunt the grasslands.

But you do not fear these things. You are a hero of the Southlands—and by your skill, strength, luck, or the favor of the gods, you will become a legend.

Southlands Heroes gives you everything you need to play in a 5th Edition campaign set in the Southlands. Southlands Heroes includes:

  • Rules for playing Southlands aasimar, gnolls, lizardfolk, minotaurs, tosculi waspfolk, and werelions
  • New Ambush Predator rogue archetype, Hivemaster variant ranger, and Circle of the Hive and Circle of the Swarm variant druids
  • New backgrounds: Child of the Divine, Temple Slave, Desert Runner, and more!

Match wits with djinn, pit your strength against mighty white apes, and plunder the lost temples of demon gods.

The Southlands await!

Kinda curious.
I've seen the Tosculi both in here and in the Tome of Beasts and Creature Codex.
The player race is the only one without 60 ft. darkvision. Was this intentional, and should a Tosculi Player Character actually have that darkvision?
It's common enough amongst other PC races, so I can't imagine it being out of place here.

Still unavailable in print....any idea when this will be in print again?
Id like to order print copies of Midgard heroes, your new Unlikely Heroes and this book, Southland heroes.
Why the delay?

The Kobolds are at PaizoCon this weekend so it will be tricky to get a hold of them just now. I'll pass along your question, though. Sorry for the delay, Chad! We'll try and get you an answer asap.

Hi Chad, yes, this has been out of print for a while, but it is on the list for a summer reprint. Sorry to hear that the emails haven't gotten through; we recently rebuilt our email server so that is a bit of a worry.

Is there any chance of bundling these at some point?

Seems like a good idea. We have an Unlikely Heroes release in 2016 and could bundle all three then.

Are there errors? Errata? The Aasimar mentions powers that replace abilities to cast daylight, lesser restoration, and resistance to necrotic/radiant. But i dont see anything that lists these powers to begin with. Where/what page? (if its listed at all)
For example: if you choose Airy Spirit the ability to cast gas form replaces your daylight ability.
But where is daylight (and other powers) listed as standard? Am I missing it?

The entire "TRAITS" section for the Aasimar is totally missing. The other races have a traits section, Aasimar does NOT.

This needs to be fixed.

You are correct, the Aasimar don't have a Traits section. However, in this case, it's deliberate. You can find the Aasimar traits in the DMG, pg 286.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
