Hmm I can't seem to move my file out of my chromebook perhaps I should try to find a way to the competition. I really don't want to though. It's still true what I said when I made Shalily. The original is still the best.

I am playing around in here because content and this games mechanics are almost a passive ability for me.

Am I allowed to use this for a school project without worrying about any legal issues? I don't intend on publishing my adventure to DMs guild or selling it or anything. Just submit it for a creative project for school.

It's gibberish used for mock-up documents & templates, commonly referred to as "Lorem Ipsum"

Anyone have suggestions for how to use the "A xxxx-hour adventure for xxth-xxth level characters" line? I get the second half, and have seen "An 11th hour adventures for 1st - 5th level characters." before. I don't imagine every adventure being described the same way with this line. Tips?

I have questions about the fonts. I am having trouble getting Word and other Windows applications to recognize them, as they do not seem to have the TrueType file extension they are looking for. What do I do?

A fine document to get me started. I knew how to build a dungeon, built lots n my life, but to build one that could be then given to someone else to run through without me i nthe group, that was a first for me and this template helped me format the look and feel of it. Took me a little bit of searching to find it though.

The legal fine print at the bottom of this document ascribes all copyright to WoC--even the original material that the author created. That's not what's required by DMGuild or WoC. The author gets to keep copyright in his or her original creations. This is what the DMGuild FAQ suggests putting on content created for DMGuild--note that it includes a copyright notice for the content creator:

What do I include in the legal text within my DMs Guild title?

We recommend a legal section in this general format:

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, D&D, Wizards of the Coast, Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, Eberron, the dragon ampersand, and all other Wizards of the Coast product names, and their respective logos are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast in the USA and other countries.

This work contains material that is copyright Wizards of the Coast and/or other authors. Such material is used with permission under the Community Content Agreement for Dungeon Masters Guild.

Feedback: Office Online does not like the formatting of this document. It changes it to a single column and a bit of a mess.

Hi all. I've downloaded the fonts and replaced them in the template, but the Junction font looks extremely weird - a little bunched up, and slightly pixellated. Has anyone else had this issue, or even better, know how to fix it?

Cheers!

Have you tried changing the display performance? "View>Display Performance>High Quality Performance" You could also switch to Preview under Screen Mode to see if it's a problem with the file. I used to get that pixellation issue all the time, but it turns out that it's not really an issue. It's just the workspace using lower quality graphics by default to make the program run a little more efficiently.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I haven't produced anything with it yet, so it could well be the workspace, which would be the best outcome :)

The "Lorem Ipsum" is commonly used in web design, writing, etc as a placeholder for text content. By doing so, you can see how the template should look with completed content. Its essentially "Fill in the blanks" whereas the "Blanks" are the latin.

I too found difficulty in the fact that the filler text was not English, for some reason it messed with my head and so the document does not help me as much as it would have with (Insert text here about such and such). I was almost tempted to put it in a translator but reading this makes me think it's not worth it. In saying this I'm sure that the document is helpful to people who understand the format, but to me it's just unnecessarily confusing for the sake of (Writing Format) as opposed to (Accessibility) for people like myself.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
