Very naive !!
Take Dungeon and Dragons and add a christian flavor : you can quote the bible to evoke spiritual powers (the same as in D&D but you must quote the bible exactly in one of the five traductions recommended by the author), you can convert elfs, hobbits, and dwarfs to christianism and you can slay lots of demons. But please do not be too “graphic when describing combat”, that what Satan would like you to do (page 24).
The example adventure is “meet villagers and slay demons”. What a pity!!
Except from this slightly ironic critic, I must admit that the book is well written and proposes interesting mechanisms to roleplay proselytism.
The rules system is well made and is a pleasant change from the D20 system.
I will never play this game but I was happy to read it. If were to play a christian role playing game, I would rather concentrate on the challenges of ordinary life : being faithful to Christ in the middle of contradictory events, being as good an apostle despite my weaknesses, and relying on hope when everything seems lost. But it is not a game. Definitively.
At least this game is funny where “seventh seal”, another christian game of good quality is very dark.
